Transleqo

Transleqo Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 27, 2026

1. Introduction

Transleqo is a speech and language platform for businesses. It offers text to speech, transcription, live captions and translation. Transleqo is run by Huri Translations, a sole trader registered in French Polynesia under N° TAHITI 876649 ("we", "us" or "our"). This policy explains what we collect on transleqo.com and its subdomains, such as app.transleqo.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

We are the controller of the account, billing, technical, support and marketing data described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

(a) Account and contact details: Your name, company, work email, phone number, address and declared country.

(b) Billing details: Your plan, invoices and payment records. Card payments go through PayPal on PayPal's own page. We never see or store your card data. Bank transfers go through Wise.

(c) Technical and sign-in details: Your network address, country, browser and device type, sign-in records, web access logs and the results of our sign-up checks.

(d) Your content: The texts and recordings you send, the results we return and any corrections made to them.

(e) Voice consent records: Where a real person's voice is used, the record of that person's consent.

(f) Support and correspondence: Your messages to us and our replies.

(g) Demo checks: When you request a demo, we may check the information you give us against public sources, such as company registers, your company's website and professional profiles, and we may keep a record of these checks.

3. Our Data Promise

Your data stays yours. We use your texts, recordings and results to do the work you ask for. We never sell them.

Never reused: With the Never reuse option, nothing you send is ever reused to improve our service. Without it, only corrections to your results may help improve the language concerned.

Where it lives: On our servers in the United States, with encrypted backups kept by a second provider.

Our output: Every audio file we deliver carries an inaudible mark that shows it was made by AI.

The Never reuse option is included in the Corporate plan. It is available on the Starter and Professional plans at 40% more.

4. How We Use Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

(a) Service delivery: To run your account and do the work you ask for. This is needed to perform our contract with you.

(b) Billing: To issue invoices and keep accounting records. This is a legal obligation.

(c) Security and demo checks: To protect the platform and prevent misuse. We reserve the right to check any demo request, as our Terms describe. These checks may include the email domain and its mail records, the company's website and public records, publicly available information about the company and the person making the request, and the network address and the country it is registered in. We may open or decline a demo on the basis of these checks, including by automated means. This is our legitimate interest.

(d) Service emails: To tell you that a demo has started or is ending, that your allowance is low or spent, or that an invoice is ready. These emails are part of the service and are needed to perform our contract.

(e) Marketing emails: Only if you opt in by ticking an unticked box. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. This relies on your consent.

(f) Improving a language: Under the standard option, to use corrections, with the short passages they correct, to improve our service for that language. This is our legitimate interest. You can object at any time, and the Never reuse option rules it out.

(g) Tracing misuse: To trace misuse of our audio through its watermark. This is our legitimate interest.

(h) Legal compliance: To meet our legal duties and answer lawful requests.

(i) Measuring use: To learn which pages, products and features are used and what our clients look for, so that we can improve our products, our services and how we work. On transleqo.com, in the Dashboard and in the Studio, a script of ours counts the pages and screens you open, the buttons and links you use, the settings you choose, what you type in the voice library's search box, the kind and size of a file you add, and your plan. It never records the texts, recordings or results you send or receive, nor what you search for in your own material. It sets no cookie, writes nothing in your browser and does not keep your network address: the address gives the country, region and city when the visit arrives and is then dropped, and the key that groups the pages of one visit changes every day. From our own records we also count finished jobs by product, language, feature and plan, with a code for each organization that never names it. Staff accounts are not counted. We may also use our web access logs, including network addresses, to tell visits by automated programs such as search engine crawlers apart from visits by people, so that our counts reflect real use. These counts stay on our own server and are never shared or sold. This is our legitimate interest. If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is counted.

We make no decision about you by automated means alone that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. Human Review

You may send a finished job to our linguists for review. The material stays on our platform during the review, and our linguists are bound by confidentiality.

6. Audio Watermark

Every audio file we deliver carries an inaudible mark. It shows that the audio was made by AI and identifies the job and the account. We use it to trace misuse. We keep the record of each mark confidential.

7. Where Your Data Goes

We never sell your data. We use no advertising networks and no analytics or tracking cookies. We share data only with the providers we need to run the service:

(a) Hosting: expanse.host, with servers in New York, United States.

(b) Backups: Crazy Domains, which keeps our encrypted backups in Sydney, Australia.

(c) Email: Crazy Domains, the mail host for transleqo.com, in Sydney, Australia.

(d) Payments: PayPal for card payments and Wise for bank transfers.

Our sign-in server, customer records and help desk run on our own servers. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

8. International Transfers

We are based in French Polynesia. We store your data in the United States and keep our encrypted backups and our mail in Australia. If you are in the European Union, your data leaves the EU when you send it to us. For personal data that business clients send us from the European Economic Area, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply through our Data Processing Addendum (transleqo.com/legal/dpa). You can ask us how we protect the data we send abroad.

9. How We Protect Information

Data travels to and from our servers over secure connections. Our backups are encrypted. Your card data stays with PayPal and never reaches our servers.

10. How Long We Keep Data

These are the periods for which we keep data:

(a) Account records: For the life of the account and 6 years after.

(b) Invoices and billing records: 10 years after the end of the financial year.

(c) Audit and sign-in records: 3 years, then anonymized.

(d) Web access logs: 12 months.

(e) Your content and results: For the life of the account. After it closes, we keep them for 30 days so that we can give them back to you. Then we delete them.

(f) Licence and watermark records: For the life of the account or the licence, and 6 years after.

(g) Corrections under the standard option: For as long as a model trained on them is in use. We review this every 3 years. We never keep corrections for this purpose under the Never reuse option.

(h) Demo accounts that never become clients: 2 years after the last sign-in.

(i) Marketing contacts: 3 years after the last contact.

(j) Support tickets: For the life of the relationship and 6 years after.

(k) Voice consent records: For as long as the voice is used and 6 years after.

(l) Backups: 90 days.

(m) Usage counts: 13 months.

(n) Demo check records: 90 days.

If we expect a dispute, we may place a legal hold on the data concerned. A legal hold suspends deletion until the matter is resolved.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. You may also ask us to restrict its use, ask for a copy in a portable format, object to its use and withdraw your consent at any time. To use these rights, see our Data Requests page or write to us.

You may complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority. If you are in the European Union, you may also complain to the data protection authority in your country. If you are in New Zealand, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

12. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to sign in and to remember your interface language. See our Cookie Policy for details.

13. Children

Transleqo is a service for businesses. It is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

14. Regulatory Compliance

We are established in French Polynesia, where French Law No 78-17 of 6 January 1978 (Informatique et Libertés) applies and the CNIL is the supervisory authority. Because we offer Transleqo to businesses in the European Union, the GDPR applies to the data of people in the EU. Because we carry on business in New Zealand, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 applies.

For visitors in California, we comply with CalOPPA. We do not track visitors across websites. If your browser sends Do Not Track, our sites count nothing of your visit. Transleqo is not directed to children, so we do not collect data from children under 13 as COPPA defines them.

15. Changes to This Policy

We post any changes on this page with a new Effective Date. If a change is significant, we tell account holders by email before it applies.
